Great point! On the heels of Carranza's unconditional amnesty for all , Obregon's political leniency definitely helped sooth some tensions. Gonzales makes a great point that policies put in place by Obregon benefited the elite, even the old guard from the Porfiriato, so long as they kept their political ambitions in check.
